Renovation of a parking garage in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The Work under this project consists of the rehabilitation of the three elevators at Town Point Garage and the three elevators at the Main Street Garage. There are five additive bid items as listed on the drawings: 1. Prep and paint Elevator lobbies, 2. New heat pump for Elevator #3 at Town Point Garage, 3. New heat pump for Elevator #3 at Main Street Garage, 4. New Heat pump for Elevators #1 and #2 for Main Street Garage, and 5. Hoistway Lighting. Question Submission Deadline:October 5, 2022, 4:00pm Work to be Substantially Completed in: 200 Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day Performance Bond: one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond: one hundred percent (100%) Bid Bond: five percent (5%) A Bid Bond, certified check, or cashiers check made payable to the Treasurer, City of Norfolk, for 5% of total bid must accompany each bid. Offerors shall upload a copy of the bid guarantee with the Offerors acknowledgement to mail the original sealed document to the Owner, within two (2) business days. State Contractor registration class and number is required by electronic bidding via the Vendor Questionnaire. The City reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or to reject any or all bids in whole or part, when it is in the best interest of the City. The right to waive informalities and to determine responsiveness of any bid and responsibility of all bidders is reserved to the City.
