Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Notice is hereby given that the governing board ("Board") of the Alum Rock Union School District ("District") will receive sealed bids for the following projects - Replace Asphalt at Per Scope of Work Exhibit A, B, C, Bid No. B2223 Bonds 17, 18, 19 ("Project" or "Contract"). The Projects consists of all labor, materials equipment and services necessary to complete the work at the project site. This bid package contains 3 bid forms 1 for each bid number: *B2223Bonds 17 Joseph George MS, EXHIBIT A (Scope of Work and Bid Form) *B2223Bonds 18 Adelante I Academy, EXHIBIT B (Scope of Work and Bid Form) *B2223Bonds 19 Cesar Chavez ES, EXHIBIT C (Scope of Work and Bid Form) *Work at each location will start October 3, 2022, and finish by end of day October 4, 2022 Each bid form represents a single bid, there's no combined bid or bids. Each bidder may bid one or more locations. Successful bidders of one or more schools shall execute a contract for each successful bid. All bids shall be on the form provided by the district to be considered responsive. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: A, B, and/or C12, C32. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the district to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labor Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or the DIR website The Bidder and all Subcontractors under the Bidder shall comply with applicable federal, State, and local requirements relating to COVID-19 or other public health emergency/ epidemic/pandemic including, if required, preparing, posting, and implementing a Social Distancing Protocol. Bidder shall further comply with the California Department of Public Health's August 11, 2021, Order, or Board Policy, whichever is most stringent, requiring workers on District sites to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or else subject to weekly testing for COVID19. The Board reserves the right to reject all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
