The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) owns and manages approximately 160,000 acres of forestland in north central Florida for the protection of floodplains and their associated habitats. These properties are managed under a multiple-use policy that includes provisions for public access and recreation. The District is requesting submittals from firms that can provide recreation maintenance and road mowing services. Services include general upkeep of all areas and facilities visible to the public on District properties (hereinafter "tracts"). This may include but is not limited to the removal of litter, removal of downed trees from roads, repair or installation of signs, gates, and cables, mowing of vegetation surrounding signs, kiosks, gates, or parking areas, reporting vandalism, road and parking area mowing, cleaning facilities, and coordinating with the District on opening or closing of tracts. Firms should complete all forms in the various regions in which they are interested in providing services September 19, 2022 Questions are emailed to Sharon Hingson at Sharon.Hingson@srwmd.org before 5:00 p.m September 21, 2022 Questions and Answers posted to the District's site by 5.00 PM September 29, 2022 RFQ Selection Committee Meeting at 9:00 a.m.* October 11, 2022 Request for Governing Board authorization of contract. * November 1, 2022 Anticipated contract start date. * The initial contract shall be for a period of three years with the potential for two subsequent one-year renewals based upon Contractor performance, the District's availability of funding, the same terms and conditions or terms more favorable to the District, and mutual agreement of the District and the Contractor. Billable rates during the first year of the contract will be based on rates identified in the contract Fee Schedule. Rates may increase after this point by no more than 5% annually as determined by the District in its sole discretion. The contractor shall provide a written request for any increase and such request shall be subject to the District's written approval in accordance with the District's Signature Authority. Any changes to this Fee Schedule, including any increases to the billable rates, must be approved through a formal written contract amendment signed by both parties. The District reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or other submittals submitted in response to District invitation. District also reserves the right to waive any minor deviations in an otherwise valid proposal.
