Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in N Richmond, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

The East Bay Regional Park District (District) is soliciting proposals from Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture firms to provide design and engineering services for the Keller Beach Improvements Project at the intersection of Western and Dornan Drives, Richmond, CA 94801. The objectives of the project are to renovate the existing facilities including barrier removals and provide a formal connection to Miller / Knox Regional Shoreline. The District requests proposals from qualified consultants. These services will include, but are not necessarily limited to site data review, design, permitting, construction bid documents, construction bid support, and construction administration support. Qualified consultants or consultant teams must have experience working on similar projects, demonstrated success in project management, civil engineering, native planting design and the development of biddable construction plans and specifications that satisfy Bay Coastal Development Commission (BCDC) and City of Richmond permitting requirements. The Project has CEQA coverage under the 2019 Miller / Knox Regional Shoreline Land Use Plan Amendment. Additional CEQA scope for the Project is not anticipated. The anticipated construction budget is $4.6 million and securing grant funding is currently underway by the District. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2024. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
