Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Evesham, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The deadline for RFIs is Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:00 PM. No bids are to be picked up at the engineer's office or at the municipality offices. Payment must be received prior to obtaining said specifications. No bids are to be dropped off at the engineer's office. The Township of Evesham reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of Evesham, in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington & Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. It is the bidder's responsibility to see that bids are presented to the Township no later than, or prior to, the hour designated and at the place designated. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed; however, the Township disclaims any responsibility for bids forwarded by regular or overnight mail. If the bid is sent by overnight mail, the project name must also appear on the outside of the delivery company envelope. Absent an immediate and legally cognizable explanation for a late bid, bids received after the designated time and date will be returned unopened. Said bids shall be addressed to Mary Lou Bergh, Municipal Clerk and shall be delivered on or before the hour named above to the Clerk's Office. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Evesham in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Township of Evesham in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Township of Evesham in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. The bidder whose bid is accepted shall furnish to the Owner, a performance bond and labor and material payment bond, or a combination performance and labor and material payment bond, and upon final completion of the work, a two (2) year maintenance bond, each in the amount of 100% of the final contract price, with such sureties as shall be approved by the Owner As a further condition of reaching Substantial Completion, the Contractor shall certify that all remaining work will be completed within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days or as so agreed upon following the date of Substantial Completion. Site related projects and/or projects including facilities with site improvements shall not reach Substantial Completion Architectural a. The demolition of interior walls and partitions as indicated on the contract documents. b. The demolition of interior finishes (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.) as indicated on the contract documents. c. The demolition of doors as indicated on the contract documents. d. The demolition offurniture as indicated on the contract documents. e. The provision of new interior walls and partitions as indicated on the contract documents. f. The provision of new interior finishes (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.) as indicated on the contract documents. g. The provision of new doors as indicated on the contract documents. h. The provision of new furniture as indicated on the drawings. Mechanical/Plumbing a. The demolition of the existing furnace serving the first floor of the building. b. The demolition of ductwork and ductwork accessories as indicated on the drawings. c. The demolition ofthe existing hot water heater and washing machine. d. The demolition of all existing sanitary and utility piping back to the main inlets to the building. e. The demolition of existing pipework accessories as indicated on the drawings. f. The provision of a new furnace, cased cooling coil and condensing unit to serve the first floor ofthe building. g. The provision of new ductwork and accessories as indicated on the drawings. h. The provision of a new exhaust fan for the new bathroom. i. The provision of a new hot water heater in the Mechanical closet. j. The provision of new utility and sanitary piping to all new fixtures in the building. k. The provision ofnew pipework accessories as indicated on the drawings. Electrical The contractor shall demolish the existing electrical equipment & devices that include but are not limited to, luminaires, raceways, junction boxes, cables, receptacle, switches & conductors, within specific areas indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications.The contractor shall demolish the existing service entrance feeders & raceway located on exterior of building and salvage all existing utility equipment as indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications & repair, replace & restore all areas damaged as result of demolition or new work to equal to or better than its original condition The contractor shall provide a new service entrance disconnect switch & load center and as indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications.he contractor shall provide new electrical equipment that include but are not limited to, new LED luminaires, load center, electrical devices, disconnect switches, electrical wiring & raceways within specific areas indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications The contractor shall provide a new complete fire alarm system for the entire building, & IT equipment that include but is not limited to low voltage wiring, data/VOIP outlets, MDF cabinet within specific areas as required and indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications. In addition, contractor shall coordinate with owner & local ISP (Internet Service Provider) to supply adequate data baud rate requirements based on the repurposing of existing building The contactor shall provide new electrical power circuits to serve all new HVAC/plumbing equipment that include but not limited circuit breakers, conductors, raceways, fittings, convenience GFI receptacles, etc., within specific areas as indicated on the contract drawings and as specified in the contract specifications. The contractor shall provide new electrical devices & equipment occupancy sensors, dimmer switches, photocells, etc. within specific areas
