Renovation of a municipal facility in Remington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,812-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. Regulatory Requirements: The State of Indiana Law and regulations shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. Project includes an interior and exterior renovation of a former bank branch located at 15 S. Ohio Street, Remington, Indiana. The 5,812 square foot, one-story building is being renovated into offices and meeting spaces for the Town of Remington. The building contains a partial basement which will not be renovated as part this project. Interior renovations include reconfiguring interior walls to accommodate a vestibule, utility service counter, large meeting room, conference room, town offices, township trustee office, RWCDC office, clerk treasurer office, break room, restrooms, and storage closets. New ceilings and finishes will be included throughout the building. Exterior renovations include removing the existing drive-thru canopy, relocating the main entrance to the north side of the building with a new canopy, adding metal roofing to the existing mansard roof, enlarging existing windows, and adding new windows. Site work is anticipated to include new sidewalks and landscaping in front of the building, removing the existing ramp on the west side of the building, and constructing a new ramp on the south side. Start date is November 15, 2022, substantial completion is June 2, 2023, with final completion date of June 16, 2023. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: General Contract (all trades) Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. TIME OF COMPLETION: Successful bidder will begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Substantial completion of the work shall be attained no later than 3:00pm local time on June 2, 2023. BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS: Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
