The work involves the replacing the existing asphalt and concrete walking paths and access driveway with new ADA compliant concrete walking paths and driveway. Bidders shall submit a BID GUARANTY in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid; or 2) either a certified check or a cashier's check in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the bid. A successful bidder shall replace the ten percent (10%) bid bond with a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond upon award of bid. Bid surety in bond form shall be issued by a surety company licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. FAX copies are unacceptable. Additionally, attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the Contract Documents and on the plans, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions including the Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope, identified as Englewood Hills South Park Ada Sidewalk Improvements, and Must Have the Full Name and Address of the Bidder on the outside of the sealed envelope. The city of Englewood reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularity in a bid, and to accept any bid that is deemed to be most favorable to said city. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof.
