The city strives to advance diversity, equity and inclusion so that regardless of income, people will want to be part of this community to share in a high-quality life. This Request for Qualifications offering is made available with this goal in mind. Offering Up to $10,500,000 Housing Bond funds Up to 19 Section 8 project-based voucher (PBV) units from the Housing Authority of Washington County The Metro Affordable Housing Bond passed by voters in November 2018 provides $31.1 million for the creation of at least 218 affordable housing units in the city of Beaverton. Eighty-nine of the total minimum 218 units must be available for very low-income households earning 30 percent or less of the Area Median Income (AMI). One hundred and nine of the total minimum 218 units, must be two or more-bedroom units suitable to families. The City of Beavertons Local Implementation Strategy (LIS) aims to sustain Beavertons livability, particularly for those with the greatest need. The LIS guides the Citys efforts as it works to create affordable housing using its allocation of Housing Bond proceeds. The LIS also outlines a commitment to furthering community goals of preventing displacement, advancing racial equity and inclusion, creating affordable housing options in locations where there are none, and helping address homelessness in the community.
