**As of October 31,2022,The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies.** Project Description: The County is seeking proposals for professional design and construction services and equipment necessary for the design and construction of Radio Towers at multiple County locations. The project shall include design and construction of multiple radio towers at multiple locations throughout Tulare County. The radio towers will provide infrastructure support of County radio communications, high speed County intranet communication, and future capabilities such as simulcast. The tower heights will range in height from 100' to 140' depending on the tower location. The selected tower firm shall provide engineering for foundation and tower design. The selected firm shall also supply and complete the erection of the towers. Tower locations and requirements are included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) packet. Firms submitting for the Project shall submit their packages under seal and marked "Firm Name, Radio Tower Design and Construction". Firms must provide one (1) original and five (5) hard copies of their package and one (1) electronic copy via USB drive. RFP correspondence and questions should be directed to Mark Van Fossen, Capital Projects Coordinator III at MVanfossen@tularecounty.ca.gov Tower firms should have experience designing and constructing communication towers. This project is specific for the design and construction of multiple communication towers at various county owned or leased sites. The pre-qualification package requires answers to questions contained in the selection criteria. Tulare County will use these documents as the basis for rating Tower Firms in respect to their qualification to design and construct the radio towers. Tulare County reserves the right to check other sources available to verify the information provided if needed. Tulare County will base its decision on objective evaluation criteria using the scoring methods described in the RFP packet. The County may require interviews of the top three scoring firms to aide in the selection of the most qualified firm.
