Site work and new construction of a fitness / recreation center in Dickson, Tennessee. Design plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.
As of July 10, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, is wishing to enter into a Professional Service Agreement with a Professional Architectural/Engineering Firm to provide services related to the development of Design and Construction Documents for the construction of an Aquatic/Recreational Complex Scope of Work Complete Design and Construction Documents including plans and bid documents needed to solicit qualified construction bids for the construction of a Municipal Aquatic/Recreational Complex, assist with solicitation of construction bids and review of submitted construction bid documents, and provide all Construction Engineering Inspections associated with any construction activities. Selected firm will also be requested to provide a proposed usage fee structure analyses for the completed facility for the City of Dickson to utilize as a basis for appropriate fees for use of the complex. Method of payment for the Professional Service Agreement will be lump sum for each phase of project (Design, Construction, CEI, and Potential Grant Application). Responsibilities of the Professional Consultant Engineering Firm include, but are not limited to: 1.Prepare all design documentation needed for the construction of a Municipal Aquatic/Recreational Complex 2.Prepare all documents needed to solicit qualified bids. 3.Assist City Staff in reviewing submitted construction bids, and preparing bid tabs for presentation to City Council 4.Perform Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services during construction in accordance with current engineering practices. 5.Prepare a proposed fee structure analyses for all services anticipated to be provided by the Aquatic Complex 6.Assist with application to any State/Federal/Private Grant opportunities that may be available . The letter of intent and qualifications shall indicate the scope of services to be completed by any sub-consultant. The City will evaluate the current prequalification statement on file for those submitted letters of intent and qualifications and choose several firms who would make viable candidates from which to invite proposals and/or presentations. The factors that will be considered in the evaluation of proposals are: 1.Knowledge of International Codes and Building Design Standards = 20% 2.Knowledge of State of Tennessee Department of Health Regulations and Requirements for Design and Design Review for Public Aquatic Centers. = 20% 3.Past experience in the required disciplines with other clients. = 10% 4.Qualifications and availability of staff. = 10% 5.Demonstrated ability to meet schedules without compromising sound engineering practices. = 10% 6.Evaluations on prior projects with other clients, if available. = 10% 7.Size of project. = 10% 8.Amount of work under contract with other clients. = 10% Evaluation proceedings will be conducted within the established guidelines regarding equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory actions based upon the grounds of race, color, sex, creed, or national origin.
