Goals for minority participation for each trade 47.8 % Goals for female participation for each trade 6.9 % Site Visit will be held September 19, 2022 @ 10:00AM CDT. All Interested Contractors shall meet at Audie Murphy VAMC, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd. San Antonio, Tx 78229. Cut off for submission of RFI(s) is September 21, 2022 @ 10:00AM CDT. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: All Offerors shall be submitted via email to the following email address: Eileen.Myers@va.gov by the date and time as stated in Block 13 below. All offerors must submit a Bid Guarantee as part of their Bid Package. Additionally, awardee must be able to obtain the required level of Performance and Payment Bonds. Install Roof Access South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) Audie L. Murphy Medical Division Project # 671-18-121 SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor is to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work outlined in this Scope of Work (SOW) and to turn over to the Government a complete reclaimed/established area and usable system. GENERAL: It is recommended that the contractor attend the site visit to determine the actual quantities required for the work identified in the SOW and to determine in place conditions that will affect the quantities in the delivery order. The contractor is required to attend a Pre-Construction Conference after contract is awarded and prior to issuance of the notice to proceed. The Government will notify the contractor when this conference will be held. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to protect, remove and repair any damaged items that are not included in the contract; that receive damage as a result of the work being performed. Daily clean up and maintenance of the job site shall also be the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor should ensure coverage or closure of their dumpster to avoid it being filled with debris by others. All construction materials and equipment shall be secured at the end of each workday by the Contractor as the Government will not be responsible for any damages to equipment or materials left unsecured by the Contractor. Unauthorized access to any area other than the work area is strictly prohibited. Job site safety shall comply with and to all latest OSHA standards. In the event historical or archeological items are found the Contractor shall immediately contact the Contracting Officer and wait for direction on how to proceed. DEMO: The purpose of this project is to provide all labor, equipment and materials to provide roof access at the elevated crosswalk between ALM and University Hospital. This includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing window and wall structure. The Contractor shall haul demoed items off site when their dumpster is full. All environmental regulations should be followed by the contractor during the course of this contract in accordance with Federal Government standards and policies when working on a federal government owned property. PROVIDE ROOF ACCESS AT CROSSWALK: Along with demo, the Contractor shall be responsible for finishing and repairing areas demoed with the same material originally disturbed to return surrounding area to condition acceptable to the VA. New architectural, structural, and electrical components shall be provided in accordance with the A-E drawings and specs. The contractor shall provide as-builts for any new architectural, structural, and electrical components installed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
