Johnston County Public Schools is requesting quotes to outfit our 8 High Schools with 26 free flowing
weapons detection systems with accompanying tablets, as well as our 13 Middle Schools with 26 free
flowing weapons detection systems with accompanying tablets.
Contractor providing proposals shall be a current free flowing weapons detection system with tablet
authorized dealer and should provide proof of this certification along with the proposal. Contractor
must be able to maintain two manufacturer certified personnel on staff.
Site visits to each school are mandatory to ensure the contractor has made any necessary provisions to
complete this scope of work. No change orders will be issued for items not identified and addressed
prior to the bid submission.

Express Operational Test Kit (OTK)--1 kit per location-21 total
Complete installation, testing, and training based on contiguous installation plan. Customer is
responsible for providing power and transporting units from central warehouse to various schools.
Customer will coordinate staff to be trained and assigned to operate systems. Live Support for a three
day period with at least 5 people. Training provided to Johnston County Schools throughout the
installation period as well as prior to going live with systems.
Annual health check to maintain warranty. To include technician coming onsite to service each system. In the event an additional unit(s) is required at a school site, the vendor would provide the additional
unit(s) specified in the costs outlined in their initial proposal.
Vendor provides training for district designees to learn simple repair and maintenance of equipment. Bidders are welcome to attend the
bid opening but bidder presence is not required and no weight or other consideration toward any
award decision will be given to any bidder's attendance or absence at the bid opening. The
time/date recorder located at Transportation Services, 159 Galilee Rd Smithfield, NC 27577 will
be used to record the official time of receipt. The outside of the sealed envelope or package
