The work consists of constructing 1,779 square feet of PCC sidewalk, roadway resurfacing including 400 pounds of Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat), 37 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course, Mix D, IL-9.5, N50, 31 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder Course, IL-19.0, N50, 444 square yards of Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal (variable depth), and other related work. Bids must be submitted electronically. Infrequent or first-time users of electronic bidding are requested to load their Bids 24 hrs. prior to due date. All technical questions regarding the use of DemandStar, must be emailed at least 48 hours before the due date to cburns@oswegoil.org. All answers will be provided within 24 hours regarding technical issues within DemandStar. Prequalification of Bidders in accordance with the applicable parts of IDOT Bureau of Local Roads and Streets Recurring Special Provision "Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals" (Check Sheet LRS 6) will be required of all bidders on this proposal. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Village, Kendall County or the Department of Labor, or as determined by the Court on Review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work as indicated in the special provisions to the specifications. Responses will be posted in DemandStar by Friday, September 23, 2022, at 12:00 PM local time. The bidder shall observe and conform to all laws, ordinances, and regulations of the Federal, State, and Village which may in any manner affect the preparation of bids or the performance of the contract. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of bid, or as provided in applicable parts of "Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals" (Check Sheet LRS 6).
