Site work and paving for a civil project in Cambridge, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Town of Cambridge is seeking bids from qualified contractors for road reconstruction work on an approximately 1000-foot section of Westman Road. The road has deteriorated due to drainage issues. Construction sketch plans accompany this Request for Construction Bids. Project construction is anticipated between September 26 and December 1 (weather permitting). Work tasks will generally involve removal of the existing road base for the purpose of road reclamation, and installing underdrainage. Work hours will be agreed upon by the Contractor, and the Town prior to construction. Contractor will be responsible for contacting Dig Safe to mark utilities. All disturbed areas shall be returned to pre-construction conditions, including repairs of the road surface, seeding and mulching all disturbed areas. Disturbance shall be minimized during construction. All questions shall be submitted to Highway Manager at either eric@cambridgevt.org or 802- 363-2146 no later than 4:00 PM on September 21, 2022. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids on its own motion. Construction is planned for between September 26 and December 1 or weather permitting. A Notice to Proceed will be issued by the Highway Manager prior to the start of work.
