SUMMARY A. Work for this project consists of: 1. Installation of a perimeter security fence with associated gates and features at Timber Creek Repeater site; 2. Providing erosion control, excavation, backfill, concrete placement, compaction, and site restoration; 3. Taking all necessary reasonable measures to reduce air and water pollution by any material or equipment used during construction; 4. Quality control for this project shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide testing, inspections, etc. as necessary to ensure the construction meets the requirements of these Specifications, Drawings, and applicable construction codes and standards. In the event of any discrepancies between the Specifications, Drawings, and applicable codes and standards, the Contractor shall immediately notify the Contracting Officer (CO)/Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) of the discrepancy and work with the CO/COR to yield a finished product that meets the applicable codes and standards while still meeting the original intent of the Specifications and Drawings. Refer to the vicinity map and site plan in the Contract Plans for additional details. 1.03 GENERAL SITE CONDITIONS AND WEATHER A. The elevation of the project is approximately 3,230 feet. The construction site can experience rainfall, wind, snow, and cold temperatures common to the Cascade Mountains. B. In-depth soil surveys have not been performed, excavation is unclassified. Subsurface materials could include sands, gravels, silts/clays, boulders, rock, etc. C. In-depth water table surveys have not been performed; however, if water is encountered during excavation, the Contractor shall perform adequate dewatering to keep the excavation free from water and dispose of the water without damage to property.
