General Contractors have been pre-qualified by the Owner through RFSQ# 20116 to submit a Tender for this Project. Only those General Contractors which have been pre-qualified may provide bids on this project. The Work is to include for a complete HVAC and mechanical system upgrade throughout the school. Electrical and architectural support within the contract will augment the mechanical work. Additionally included in the scope are washroom updates throughout and a servery added within the existing cafeteria. The renovation having an area of 14500 m2 is in accordance with the contract documents. Start date: Oct 24th, 2022 - with limitations following DSBN supplementary document. A minimum of 3 classrooms will be available at all times throughout the project. All classrooms require ventilation prior to students and staff re-entering them. Due to lead times on ventilation supplies, UV's and airhandlers, most of the installation work is expected to start summer of 2023 and continue into the school year. Corridor preparation work can be completed during the school year leading up to the summer break of 2023 on afternoon shift. The completion schedule is such that the Owner requires the Contractor achieve Substantial Performance of the Work no later than August 30, 2024 and to achieve Total Completion no later than December 20, 2024. Take over procedures are to follow the process outlined in OGCA 100 - OAA/OGCA Takeover Procedures (2007). Electrical sub-contractors have been pre-qualified by the Owner through RFSQ# 17011 to submit a Tender for this Project. Mechanical sub-contractors have been pre-qualified by the Owner through RFSQ# 17010 to submit a Tender for this Project.
