The Town of Oberlin is seeking the services of a qualified engineering firm or individual to provide engineering and related services to assist the town with a street improvement project through the Office of Community DevelopmentÕs LCDBG Public Facilities Program. The Town is requesting Qualification Statements from qualified engineering firms or engineers to provide professional services related to the street improvement rehabilitation and reconstruction project. The scope of services includes, but are not limited to, preliminary analysis of the TownÕs needs, preliminary engineering design, final engineering design, construction observation and project implementation in compliance with the 2021 LCDBG Handbook requirements. Because of the performance uncertainties inherent in some of the elements of this type of project, the Town intends to award a cost reimbursement contract with a cost ceiling that cannot be exceeded without prior approval of the Town. The administrator will be responsible for keeping the Town of Oberlin in compliance with all federal, state, and local standards for engineering. The Town of Oberlin shall evaluate each respondent on the basis of the written materials submitted.
