Site work for a water / sewer project in Winfield, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The contractor is responsible to cover all labor and materials necessary for rebuilding two hydraulic miter gate cylinders including disassembly, examination, replacement and fabrication of components, reassembly, testing, painting, pickup and delivery. The hydraulic cylinder is a miter gate operating cylinder used at Winfield Locks and Dam and is to be installed by others. SCOPE. These Specifications cover all labor and materials necessary for rebuilding two hydraulic miter gate cylinders including disassembly, examination, replacement and fabrication of components, reassembly, testing, painting, pickup and delivery. The hydraulic cylinder is a miter gate operating cylinder used at Winfield Locks and Dam and is to be installed by others. The cylinder dimensions are in metric units with standard units used only as reference. The cylinder bore is 450 mm (17.717) with a 280 mm (11.024) diameter piston rod. The stroke is 4256 mm (13-11.559) with an overall rod length of 5413 mm (17- 9.108). Working pressure is 2000 psi and the test pressure is 3300 psi. Drawing 3-032193 Rev. 09 will be used as reference for component dimensions and assembly. The document labeled INSTRUCTION MANUAL provides descriptions of the parts that make up the cylinder and the part numbers coordinate with those shown on the drawing. Both the drawing and instruction manual are included as attachments to this scope of work. PERFORMANCE. The Contractor will be required to complete work under this contract within fifty (50) calendar days after the day of receipt by him of Notice of Award.DELIVERY. The Contractor is responsible for transporting the cylinder to/from Winfield Locks and Dam 170 Lock Rd. Redhouse, WV 25168 to the contractor's facility. Pickup/Delivery dates need to be coordinated with USACE (Scott Kinzel 304-399-6973 or Robert.S.Kinzel@usace.army.mil). The Contractor shall give ten (10) calendar days notification before pickup/shipment of the cylinder to allow coordination of loading/unloading equipment at the site.
