City of Shelton will be accepting proposals for the residential rehabilitation of 145 Woodland Drive, Shelton CT 06484. It is the responsibility of the prospective Respondent to check the website for any addenda issued up to 48 hours prior to the proposal opening. The Purchasing Department at Shelton City Hall is Closed on Mondays. City of Shelton is an Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer 1) Full Bath Replacement A. Demo entire bath to stud a) Gut entire full bath including tub/shower, toilet vanity, all fixtures, drywall and floor. b) Gut not to include washer/dryer room and utility closet. c) Install new fiberglass batt insulation in all exterior walls. d) Provide wood blocking for shower wall assembly and grab bars. B. Replace tub/shower unit with the following: a) 3 Wall surround bath and shower kit b) $750.00 Allowance for unit c) Install per manufacture instructions d) Replace entire plumbing assembly including shower arm, head, valve, drain and waste. e) $200.00 allowance for tub and shower faucet (valve included) C. Install new toilet. a) Provide Kohler Elongated (white) or an approved equal b) Model #K-78276-0 c) Provide all necessary water piping and fittings for complete assembly. D. Provide and install new vanity, sink, faucet and mirror. a) $400.00 allowance for vanity and top b) $100.00 allowance for faucet c) $75.00 allowance for mirror d) Provide all necessary water piping and fitting for installation including replacement of shutoff valves and supplies. E. Install new resilient plank flooring. a) Replace existing subfloor throughout bath. b) Traffic Master Allure or approved equal. c) Owner to choose color and styles, $3.50 /sf material allowance. d) Provide all necessary transitions and terminations. F. Drywall and tape finish all walls. a) Prime and apply two top coats to all surfaces. b) Paint colors to be chosen by homeowner. c) Install new baseboard and door casing. G. Electrical a) Install new GFCI receptacle at vanity per code. b) Install new vanity light. $75.00 allowance for light. c) Install new Ceiling light/fan unit. $150.00 allowance for unit. d) Vent fan to exterior. e) Provide all necessary feeds/switches. f) All work to be performed to code requirements. H. Accessories a) Provide and install tissue paper holder, towel bar and graspable bar in shower. (200.00 allowance for accessories) b) Provide 24" grab bar at toilet I. Replace bath door and trim a) Pre-hung, six panel and trim b) Replace bath door handle, finish to be selected by homeowner Flooring (Main) A. Existing Subfloor in several places throughout the home has been observed to be defective. B. Remove and replace existing subfloor in living room, hall and rear bedroom. C. Install vinyl sheet or plank flooring per owner selection a) Traffic Master Allure or approved equal. b) Owner to choose color and styles, $3.50 /sf material allowance. D. Replace all baseboard and cove base. E. Paint all new trim to match existing F. Provide threshold transitions as needed G. Refer to specifications for additional information and performed to code requirement Flooring (Kitchen) (Alternate 1) A. Install vinyl sheet or plank flooring over existing kitchen floor a) Traffic Master Allure or approved equal. b) Owner to choose color and styles, $3.50 /sf material allowance. B. Replace all baseboard and cove base. Electrical A. Provide GFCI protection to receptacles a) Located at kitchen counter "b" wall (2) and "d" wall (2) b) Verify integrity of box, wiring and ground c) Install new covers, match existing color and style B. Provide single use receptacle a) Located in laundry room washing machine b) Verify integrity of box, wiring and ground c) Install new cover, match existing color and style C. Refer to specifications and all work to be code compliant Smoke and Carbon monoxide detectors (Alternate 2) A. Install combination smoke and CO detector (1) a) Located at main hall B. Install smoke detectors in each bedroom (3) C. All detectors to be interconnected battery operated D. All work to be performed to code requirements E. Refer to specifications for all work
