Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Peru, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of replacing an existing 4" water main. Improvements include approximately 1,426 feet of 8" water main, 1,399 feet of 6" water main, 461.50 feet of 6" directional drilling, reconnecting existing service laterals, and miscellaneous appurtenances. Work also includes pavement reconstruction, pavement resurfacing, approximately 426 feet of concrete curb, approximately 448.50 square yards of P.C.C. driveways, approximately 325.5 square feet of P.C.C. sidewalks, reconstruction of approximately 36 feet of storm sewer (12 inch reinforced concrete pipe), 2 new concrete storm water inlets with frame/grates, 1 storm water manhole adjustment with new lid, reconstruction of approximately 188.5 feet of sanitary sewer (12 inch to 15 inch sanitary pipe), 3 new sanitary concrete manholes with lids, utility trenching, tree removal, and landscape restoration. To expedite the start of construction, the City will purchase piping, fire hydrants and certain fittings prior to this bid letting. Contractor will be responsible for installation of said items and shall purchase all ancillary items required. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labour required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the City of Peru. Bids may be held by the City of Peru for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
