As of 12/21/2022, this project has not yet been awarded. Award details will be available following the January 10th 2023 SAWS Board meeting. SEALED BIDS are requested by the San Antonio Water System for the construction of three (3) new vertical turbine pumps, piping, valves, motors, flow meter, chlorine analyzer, new prefabricated pump station building, new diesel generator, new hydropneumatic tank, new site fencing and security, site grading and access driveway and associated electrical and instrumentation and controls for the Ranch Town No. 2 Pump Station Improvements Project, SAWS Job No. 20-6005. The subsequent document Attachment A: Site Visit Procedures is attached hereto and made part of this specification section and includes procedures that shall be followed to attend the pre-bid site visit meeting. Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, each respondent wishing to visit the site shall review and strictly adhere to the requirements, including the requirements to RSVP, as described in Attachment A: Site Visit Procedures and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. Please be advised that Bidders are prohibited from communicating with any other SAWS staff, the Consultant, the Developer, or City of San Antonio officials regarding this IFB up until the contract is awarded as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Due to the COVID-19 emergency and to protect the health of the public, SAWS is implementing new procedures for the submission of bids. See the Electronic Bid Opening Instructions attachment for additional information regarding an electronic bid submittal. Electronic bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price. (Or, if providing SAWS with a cashiers check or certified check in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price, SAWS will request this within 24 hours from the apparent low bidder. Sealed bids must be accompanied by a cashiers check, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud by Contract Administration via WebEx. Replace the high service pumps, electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment, and enclose the equipment inside a new building. Replacement of the hydro-pneumatic tank, modifications to yard piping, and other site enhancements such as grading, fencing, lighting, site security, and access driveway. All construction activity will occur inside the pump station site.
