Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) Board of Education is seeking custodial services from qualified and insured firm(s) to service district school and office buildings. The successful Contractor(s) must be duly licensed in accordance with all Federal, State, Agency, and local laws governing the custodial industry and must demonstrate the ability to provide and maintain administrative, operational, and logistical support for the WS/FCS. Custodial services shall ensure the facilities are maintained in a condition that is clean, safe, and healthy for students, staff, and the public, according to the purpose they serve. Services are expected to begin December 1, 2022, via an attrition model from the current contractor, or district, with an attrition completion date no later than May 1, 2023 to support summer building operations. All inquiries concerning this RFP must be directed in writing to John Mann Jr., Director of Procurement Services at jwmann@wsfcs.k12.nc.us All inquiries must be received by 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. All responses, to all questions, from all Proposers, will be provided to all Proposers by 5:00 PM EST by September 30, 2022, via Proposer provided email at the pre-bid meeting and shall become an addenda to this RFP. WS/FCS will not reimburse respondents to this RFP for any costs incurred in the preparation and submittal of the proposals. Further, the request does not obligate WS/FCS to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. WS/FCS reserves the right to: a. reject any and all bids received; b. to take all bids under advisement for up to 120 days after opening; c. to waive any informality on any bid; d. to be the sole judges of the relative merits of the material mentioned in the respective proposals received; e. request any company or firm submitting a proposal to clarify its proposals during the selection phase; f. negotiate the project plan and reasonable costs with the selected vendor; g. modify or alter any requirements herein; and h. identify additional tasks to be accomplished prior to establishing a formal Contract.
