B-16-357, B-16-358, B-16-359, and B-16-369 (Steel) along a Section of Interstate 90 (EB & WB) over the MBTA Railroad Location: Boston Project Type: Bridge - Construction MASSDOT - Viaduct Bridge Repairs and Related Work (Including Painting) Bridge Numbers B-16-357, B-16-358, B-16-359, and B-16-369 (Steel) Along a Section of Interstate 90 P.V. = $62,529,000.00 M/WBE Participation Goal 16% ; Labor participation goals for this Project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women for each job category The work done under this Contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and services to repair and preserve the existing viaduct that carries I-90 over the MBTA in the City of Boston. The 0.6-mile-long viaduct begins just east of the former I-90 toll plaza area and ends just west of the Commonwealth Avenue overpass. The viaduct is comprised of four separate bridge structures as designated in MassDOT's bridge inventory: o I-90 Eastbound mainline bridge - Bridge No. B-16-359 (BIN 4RX) o I-90 Westbound mainline bridge - Bridge No. B-16-359 (BIN 4RY) o I-90 Eastbound On-Ramp (Ramp D) - Bridge No. B-16-357 (BIN 4RV) o I-90 Westbound Off-Ramp (Ramp C) - Bridge No. B-16-358 (BIN 4RW) Resetting and replacement of existing steel rocker bearings as required including required temporary shoring and jacking. o Bridge Barrier concrete repairs and selected replacement o Removal and resetting luminaires, replacement of some lighting standards as required, and reconstruction of lighting supports on the structure as required o Installation of new conduit and wiring for the lighting system o Replacement of the existing concrete overlay with new superpave waterproofing overlay o Bridge Deck full and partial depth repairs o Installation of new bolt down median barrier on the bridge o Replacement of bridge deck scuppers and downspouts along the median o Cleaning ofscuppers and downspouts at outer curb lines in both directions of I-90 and Ramps B, C and D
