Summary of Work: Include all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: 1) Safely remove all loose mortar, debris, organics, etc. from the circumference mortar joint of the central fountain's knee wall at the first interior rowlock of bricks. Once completed, tuckpoint approximately One hundred and Eighty Linear Feet (180 LF) of same mortar joint with Type-S Mortar (Grey) to ensure a watertight bond. Additionally, tuckpoint approximately Twenty Linear Feet (20 LF) of brick mortar joints on south interior face of fountain knee wall using Type-S Mortar (Grey). Mortar and mortar joint tooling in all instances shall match existing and be smooth and uniform in appearance to create a visually indiscernible finished product. Clean brick faces when complete with Prosoco Sure Klean 600 (cited as the Basis of Design), or an approved equal, to remove all excess mortar. No hazing shall be allowed. 2) Safely remove all loose or jagged concrete, debris, organics, prior surface coating, etc. from the cloverleaf pedestal surrounding the base of the Queen Isabella statue. Clean concrete when complete with Prosoco Sure Klean Heavy Duty Concrete Cleaner (cited as the Basis of Design), or an approved equal, to remove all excess oil or residue. Mask edges at brick rowlock and coat with a two-part epoxy coating (Seal Krete Epoxy-Seal Concrete & Garage Floor Paint, Slate Grey is cited as the Basis of Design), or an approved equal. Secure area and allow to cure for a minimum of five calendar days prior to foot traffic. Remove masking, scrape excess coating from brick faces and mortar joints. Surface shall be smooth and uniform in appearance. No blistering or bubbles shall be allowed. 3) Form and pour on-site one (1) replacement concrete bench to match in all proportions, shape, surface finish, and color of the existing, same style, adjacent benches. Bench shall be reinforced with #5 rebar in line with the original construction delineation and utilize 3000 P.S.I. concrete. Rebar shall be anchored in existing concrete at the original footings and tied continuously throughout form to ensure proper structural integrity once cured and forms have been removed. (See Reference Sheet 9-57 for original construction details.) Seal concrete with two spray coats of Prosoco Weatherseal Siloxaine PD (cited as the basis of design), or an approved equal, once cured 4) Additive Alternate #1- Remove One Hundred Seventy-Five Square Feet (175 S.F.) of existing broom finish concrete, as indicated on Sheet A-1, form, reinforce with Eight inch (0'-8") #4 rebar drilled and epoxied into adjacent concrete at all edges at Two Linear Foot (2 L.F.) intervals where existing shall meet new concrete, and pour replacement light broom finish concrete to match existing grades of the adjacent exposed aggregate panels. All new and existing concrete shall be free from toe kick trip hazards equal to or greater than 1/4
