Start date: When School is done for the year next summer End date: Before school resumes at the end of summer next year The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) invites qualified general contractors to bid on summer of 2023 exterior window replacement project at Washington Middle School. The project is being funded by ESSER II funds, which requires the use of the Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Kenosha County. Project scope of work includes, but is not limited to, exterior window replacement, general carpentry, sealants, interior finishes and window treatments. Demolition and disposal of the existing insulated panels and window systems will require the services of an abatement contractor. KUSD will contract separately for this scope of work, which includes material testing, abatement, air testing and material disposal related to the abatement work. Detailed schedule coordination of demolition work and general construction services under this bid package will be required. This project is considered a Turn-Key window installation project, which includes all of the necessary permits, fees and approvals included in the general contractors bid. The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality or technicality in any bid/proposal submitted, and to accept any part of a bid/proposal deemed to be in the best interest of KUSD.
