As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid..** Renovations of the Building Your firm is invited to submit an offer under seal to the Owner for Renovations of the building located at: 18 Town Square Burnsville, NC 28714 Project: Renovations for 18 Town Square, Burnsville, NC Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided in the bidding documents obtainable from the Architect. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. All inquiries or questions regarding the project may be directed to the Architect at the contact information provided above. Renovations includes the restoration of existing floors, ceilings and walls. Replication of plaster wall molding and ceiiling trim will be required where molding and trim are damaged or missing. The existing Bathroom will be restored. New lighting, electrical service and outlets will be added. The front entrance will be replaced with a new entrance assembly. The new entrance will be accessible and accessed by a low-slope ramp. C. Contract Scope: Construction, demolition, and renovation. FDG220307 Renovations for the Main Level of the (Former) Citizens Bank Building and Yancy County Library Intend to Reveal and Preserve the Grandeur and Scale of the Original, Vaulted, Space While Striking a Balance With Updates Required by the Existing Building Code. The Mezzanine, Added at the Time the Buiding Was Modified to Become the Library, Was Removed Prior to This Work. In Addition, Wall Furring, at the Interior of the Rear Wall, Electrical Fixtures and Other Miscelaneous Items Were Removed as Part of the Earlier Demolition Work. The Scope of This Project is to Modernize the Mechanical System, Update Lighting and Electrical, Restore the Existing Bathroom, Flooring, Plaster Surfaces, Wall and Ceiling Moulding. In Addition The Main Entrance Will Be Replaced With a Pair of Doors and Made Accessible. Another Important Accessibility Upgrade Will Be the Addiiton of a Low-slope Ramp Leading to the Main Enttrance. Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades Will Include New Mini-split Mechanical Units. The Units, for the Most Part, Will Be Located Below the Windows. Wooden Screens Will Be Added to Conceal the Units While Allowing for Sufficient Air Flow. Condensing Units Will Be Located on the Rooftop. Lighting Upgrades Will Include (3) Large Led Pendant-style Fixtures That Are Intended to Appear Original to the Building. Led Track Lighting Will Be Suspended From Aircraft Cables to Provide Lighting That is Flexible for Differing Future Needs. Electical Outlets Will Be Located in the New Wooden Wall Base to Minimize Disruption to the Walls. Electrical Floor Outlets Will Also Be Added to Allow for Other, as Needed, Lighting Options Within the Interior Spaces. The Existing Rear Wall Will Be Repaired. Damaged or Missing Plaster Wall Surfaces and Molding Will Be Restored or, Replicated or Added. In Addition, Wooden Cap-rail and Base Molding Will Be Added. All Restored and or New Surfaces Will Be Prepared, Primed and Painted to Match the Existing Historic Paint Colors. The Side and Front Walls Will Be Restored Similarly. The Existing Bathroom Will Be Restored and Adapted to Be Accessible to the Extent Possible, Within the Existing Space Provided, and Under the Provisions of the Nc Existing Building Code.
