The proposed project along Dauphin Street extends for approximately 1.2 miles beginning at Sage Avenue and extending to west of 1-65 at Springhill Medical Center. This project will not include improvements to the 1-65 interchange or the Dauphin Street Bridge over 1-65. The proposed project is located within the city limits of Mobile in central Mobile County. The proposed mobility improvements along Dauphin Street focus on access management and include optimization and modernization of traffic signals and equipment, and modifications to intersections to improve operations and efficiency along the corridor in the project area. The purpose and need of this project is to improve mobility along the Dauphin Street corridor. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the proposed street improvements project. This meeting is an information only meeting, no formal presentations will be made during this time. Property owners can provide input to assist in further developing the project. Project overview information and handouts will be displayed for public viewing. In attendance will be City of Mobile staff, and its consultants to assist individuals with questions at the meeting. Comment cards will be available to provide feedback regarding the proposed project.
