Renovation of a residential development in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Bidders are invited to submit separate sealed BIDS to the PHA per Instructions to Bidders and Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. A. Work of this Contract comprises in general the renovations to the existing Bathrooms located at Two (2) sites, within apartments. The work involves removing the existing cast iron tub or ceramit tile shower and replacing it with a Shower pan with wall surround, remove, salvage and re-install sinks, vanities and toilets as required to remove existing ceramic tile flooring, prep and install new specified flooring and wall base. Refer to Proposal Form for additional work / pricing required. B. The contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction for the Owner, including all incidental work as required or described in the contract documents. C. The selected Contractor shall be responsible for pre-ordering and storing all new interior materials and equipment prior to the start of construction scheduled for April 2023. The contractor shall include in their bid all costs associated with the storage of all material and equipment in a secure off-site facility and the delivery of the material and equipment to the site when the project is ready to receive the material and equipment to be installed in the existing building. D. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Site Directions: Lincoln Manor 10 Franklin Street Manville Manor 155 Church Street A certified check or Bid Bond, payable to the PHA in amount of Five Percent (5%) of the base bid amount, must be furnished by each bidder in accordance with the provisions included in the Instruction to Bidders. A Performance Bond of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price with a satisfactory surety company will be required of the successful Bidder. The PHA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any technicalities or informalities in the bidding and to accept the proposal deemed most favorable to their interest. Bidder's attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents which must be paid on this project. TIME OF COMPLETION: BIDDER hereby agrees to commence work under this contract within 10 days after issuance of a written "NOTICE TO PROCEED" by the PHA and to FULLY complete the base bid scope of work project within time limit of 120 calendar days. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Insert the sum of $250.00 in the space provided for value of liquidated damages based on the 120 days contract.
