Municipal District of Greenview No. 16 (hereafter known as MD Greenview) is in the midst of detailed design of a major upgrade to the existing wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) in the Hamlet of Grande Cache (Grande Cache). The detailed design of the proposed wastewater treatment plant facility is near completion and is ready for construction. The objective of this project is to construct new WWTF components and related upgrades, to provide the residents of Grande Cache with a reliable wastewater treatment facility for years to come. The Grande Cache WWTF design is nearly complete and is ready for construction to improve the overall reliability and effectiveness of the wastewater treatment system. The new WWTF construction consists of the following main infrastructure components: Civil The WWTF civil upgrades consist of the following major components: Construction of a new waterline to the WWTF, ~2,000 m open-cut Including a new PRV station Construction of a new septage receiving station (SRS) inclusive of: Roadway access Site development Storage pond Installation of overflow piping to EQ ponds Installation of yard piping from headworks building to bioreactor, clarifier, UV building, and to effluent manhole Existing sludge pond sludge removal and liner removal Rebuild existing sludge ponds and convert to equalization storage ponds Reshape ponds Install new liner Construction of new equalization pond pump station to return flow back to front of treatment process Site grading, site fence and gate, and road access Excavation for bioreactor, clarifier, building expansion footings, and UV building Backfill for bioreactor, clarifier, building expansion footings, and UV building Structural The WWTF structural upgrades consist of the following major components: Construction of concrete for the following: Extended Bioreactors Concrete pipe and pump gallery Secondary Clarifier Tanks Building expansions UV Building Outfall Generator Pad and Other Construction of new building for: headworks, dewater/chemical room, blower room, electrical room, mechanical room, control room, laboratory, etc. Construction of a new UV Building Construction of pipe and pump gallery access building Installation of Misc. Metals and Materials Grating, hatches, stairs Bioreactor catwalks Clarifier tank covers Process & Building Mechanical The WWTF process & building mechanical upgrades consist of the following major components: Installation of new major equipment: Mechanical Screens complete with washer compactor x 2 Bioreactor Aeration Equipment x2 Secondary Clarifier x2 UV Equipment Biosolids Dewatering (Sludge Press) Installation of various pipe, valves and pumps: RAS pumps WAS pumps MLSS pumps Installation of equalization pond pump station equipment Installation of headworks control gates and composite sampler Installation of alum chemical feed equipment Installation of various analytical instruments Procurement of laboratory equipment Electrical and Instrumentation The WWTF electrical and instrumentation upgrades consist of the following major components: Procurement and installation of the following electrical equipment: Power Distribution Equipment Motor Drives / Starters Generator and ATS Cable Tray & Conduit Trenching, Bedding, Backfill and Compaction Fittings & Fasteners Glanding & Terminations Power Cables Lighting, Building Receptacles and Comms. Utility Coordination Procurement and installation of the following instrumentation: Control & Instrument Cables Control Panel Programming & Integration Instrumentation required throughout the plant HVAC & Plumbing Installation of HVAC and plumbing equipment for new buildings: Headworks (classified space) Dewatering room Blower room Control room / lab Underground pipe and pump gallery UV building
