San Juan County is seeking a contractor for the installation of a storm culvert on Olga Road, on Orcas Island, WA. Work includes removal of roadway surfacing, structure excavation and disposal, shoring or extra excavation, installation of County furnished culvert pipe, imported gravel backfill, compaction, traffic control, temporary lighting, and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, 2022 edition. NOTE: Road must remain open to through traffic except for one midweek, 12- hour nighttime closure (6 PM to 6 AM). At other times before and after that closure, single-lane traffic control using flaggers may be used for mobilization and demobilization of equipment and materials Contract Time: Five (5) working days; physical completion of work must take place by November 12, 2022. Bid Requirements: All required equipment, materials and fees, including all applicable taxes (see below) must be included in a LUMP SUM bid amount for the proposed work, plus one additional bid item for Minor Changes (see proposal form). Bidder Questions: Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before the Award of a Contract will not be binding on San Juan County. Contract Bond (Payment and Performance Bond): The successful bidder shall provide an executed contract bond for the full contract amount, in accordance with RCW 39.08.010.
