*As of November 1, 2022, this project is expected to rebid for a contractor. Maine School Administrative District #54 (Owner) invites Bidders to submit sealed Bids for the Skowhegan High School Elevator Addition Project, which includes the addition of an elevator shaft external to the building and necessary interior renovations to link the elevator to the first and second floors of the school. Work also includes all associated architectural, structural, HVAC, and electrical work to integrate the addition into the facility. 1. Elevator shaft addition adjacent to the existing high school including all architectural, structural, doors and finishes. 2. Elevator package procurement and installation. 3. Earthwork for construction of foundation and restoration of the site upon completion of the Work. 4. Electrical connections to elevator equipment and lighting upgrades in the addition and in adjacent spaces. 5. Mechanical improvements to integrate the addition into existing building systems. The Work shall be substantially complete by August 11, 2023, and completed and ready for final payment by September 29, 2023. The Contractors procurement of the elevator package and other long lead components of the Work are anticipated during the Winter. Outdoor construction that is not disruptive to the normal operations of the school will also be permitted if chosen by the Contractor. This Contract is expected to be funded in whole or in part by monies made available by the Maine Department of Educations School Revolving Renovation Fund (SRRF) funded through the Maine Municipal Bond Bank. Neither the State of Maine nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is, or will be, party to the Contract. The word agency in the Contract Documents refers to the Department of Education.
