These Projects will focus on improving traffic conveyance, safety, and decreasing traffic congestion on US 395, in the fast-growing North Valleys area. This phase will complete proposed improvements from the Golden Valley Interchange , through the Stead Boulevard Interchange. The Stead Boulevard to Cold Springs 3R, and North Virginia Street Complete Streets Projects will incorporate additional sidewalks, bike lanes and/or shared-use paths, improved pedestrian safety facilities, transit stops, and park and rides, all anticipated to increase multimodal access through the corridor, improve connectivity between Reno and the North Valleys region, and enhance pedestrian safety. Develop and deliver Project design in an efficient and timely manner, to improve safety, operations, and mobility on US 395 in the North Valleys region, in accordance with Department's guidance and standards, and in a Design-Bid-Build project procurement method.
