Future upgrades and new projects at all Plexxus Member and Customer hospitals. TIMELINE: As of February 2023 the Request for Supplier Qualifications has been awarded. The Prequalified Proponents will participate in the owners for the creation of a regional Vendor-Of Record VOR list that is primarily leverageable by the Purchasers for the provision of services of Architects, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. The regional Vendor of Record (VOR) pools are listed below and may be leverageable by: All Plexxus Member and Customer hospitals, Publicly funded health care organizations, and all other publicly funded organizations. Architect The purpose is to prequalify architectural firms licensed in the Province of Ontario to provide architectural services for infrastructure renovation and new construction projects. It is also expected that the Prequalified Proponent(s) will have the capacity to provide architectural services to complete a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including but not limited to interior/exterior renovations and new construction activities. Mechanical Engineers The purpose is to pre-qualify mechanical engineering firms licensed in the Province of Ontario to act as Mechanical Engineers for various base-building infrastructure, and interior renovations/alterations projects. It is also expected that the successful Proponent(s) will have the capacity to provide engineering services for a diverse range of mechanical projects, including but not limited to: HVAC and plumbing retrofits as part of a broader interior renovation; condition assessment and refurbishment/replacement of air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, and associated piping; modifications to fuel oil systems; modifications to medical gas systems, sprinkler and standpipe systems; environmental assessments and compliance; energy efficiency studies and retrofits; building automation and control modifications and retrofits. Electrical Engineers The purpose is to pre-qualify electrical engineering firms licensed in the Province of Ontario to act as Electrical Engineers for various electrical distribution and systems projects. It is also expected that the successful Proponent(s) will have the capacity to provide engineering services for a diverse range of electrical projects, including but not limited to: electrical distribution equipment condition assessments; replacement/retrofit of aged distribution equipment; design of essential power distribution systems in a healthcare facility and/or public organization; lighting system audits; replacement/retrofit of lighting systems, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, medical gas systems, security systems, and networking and audio visual systems. The VOR list is valid through February 2026. Projects will be followed individually as they proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
