The City of Fresno is interested in entering into a contract to provide fire sprinkler construction drawings for five city owned ADU standard plans with a qualified individual(s) or firm. The City of Fresno is developing pre-approved ADU standard construction plans for customers to use on existing single family home lots. Selected consultant will provide all necessary designs to permit and construct fire sprinkler systems for the five standard ADU plans. Consultant will design complete wet-pipe, stand alone with passive purge, residential, automatic fire sprinkler systems (including underground lead-in piping) in compliance with NFPA 13D, 2016 and, or, 2019 edition, for 5 standard accessory dwelling unit standards construction plans. Design shall include but shall not be limited to the following: Provide all design work as necessary for the design of a complete, code compliant, fire sprinkler system(s). Design data shall include: Underground bury, fill, pipe hanging - attachment details (and intervals), pipe insulation requirements, pipe spacing, fire sprinkler head spacing, fire sprinkler temperatures, etc. to provide for a complete, code compliant fire sprinkler system. \Design & material specifications shall include: CPVC piping, CPVC fittings, compatible primers & glues, pipe hangers, hanger fasteners, fire sprinklers, etc. Final drawings by the design team shall be turned over to the City of Fresno in text searchable, portable document file format. Any addendums will be expected to be completed before final posting. Proposal shall include all materials and labor required for the design, engineering, hydraulic calculation, and layout of the system(s). All design plans must be stamped by an appropriate design professional. Designs shall be coordinated with existing plans, and designs shall locate the sprinkler system riser, piping, sprinkler heads, etc. to minimize obstructions or interference with other trades. Qualified firms are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for professional consultant services to provide fire sprinkler construction drawings for five ADU standard plans.
