Reference number : 1644166 Review Title : Bridge deck replacement work on the P'tit Train du Nord Linear Park Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-10-03 Submission sent electronically accepted: No Subject of the invitation to tender The MRC would like to receive bids for the execution of replacement work on three bridge decks on the P'tit Train du Nord Linear Park, in the Lac-Saguay and Nominingue sectors. The bidder may, at its discretion, bid for one, two or three bridge decks. The work must be carried out in the fall of 2022. The MRC could however authorize, at its sole discretion, that all or part of the work be carried out in the spring of 2023. The Contractor must provide the labour, machinery and all materials to complete the works described in the descriptive specifications of the work. Particularities regarding the awarding of a contract If a contract is awarded, the MRC will award the contract(s), per bridge deck, to the lowest conforming bidder for that bridge deck. It reserves the right to award one or more contracts for one, two or all of the bridge decks. The MRC will have complete discretion as to the bridge decks it wishes to build and prioritize. Thus, several granting scenarios are possible. For example, the MRC could award a contract to the lowest bidder for deck P-17449, a contract to the lowest bidder for deck P-17450 and not award a contract for deck P-17451. Another example could be that a bidder submits a bid for all three decks and all of its bids are the lowest. The MRC could thus award him the contract for the three aprons. The Contractor shall indicate in the bid form the maximum number of bridge decks that he is able to execute . The MRC must respect the maximum capacity of the Contractor when awarding the contract. The Contractor who does not indicate his maximum capacity will be deemed to be able to complete, on time, all the bridge decks for which he has tendered. If the Contractor is the lowest bidder for a number of bridge decks that exceeds its capacity, the MRC will award contracts that exceed this capacity to the second lowest bidder. Bid Bond 10% is required. Performance and Material Bond 50% is required. Award is subject to final approval.
