Canmore Nordic Centre (CNC) has an extensive network for its snowmaking system that provides world class Nordic sport opportunities. Many international competitions rely on the CNC and its ability to manufacture snow to host these high profile events. The current snowmaking pipeline system is approaching the end of its lifecycle and significant failures have been occurring more frequently. An initial assessment has recommended further testing to determine if there are options to extend the overall lifecycle by using coating systems or adding cathodic protection. Two reports were completed in early 2022 by consultants and are included as appendices to this RFP. The successful proponent will develop a testing program through selective non-destructive testing to provide an accurate prediction of the current state of corrosion throughout the piping system, and provide recommendations for a cost-effective repair, renewal, and maintenance plan to avoid future system failures. The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide detailed testing assessment and reporting for lifecycle extending improvements to the snowmaking system. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
