The Plainfield Fire Protection District will accept sealed proposals for "as needed" snow plowing for the winter of 2022-2023 with the option of extending into the 2023-2024 season. Snow must be plowed from the parking lot and approach ramps of the Plainfield Fire District Headquarters buildings at 23748 W. 135th St. Plainfield, IL whenever the accumulation on the ground reaches two (2) inches or more, or as requested. Vendors must have the capability of removing snow from the premises if needed. Bids must reflect equipment prices indicating the hourly rate with the operator. Snow must be plowed from the parking lots and approach ramps of Plainfield Fire Protection District Headquarters located at 23748 W. 135th Street, Station 1 located at 14415 S. Coil Plus Drive, Station 2 located at 23806 W. 135th Street, Station 3 located at 25001 W. 119th Street; and Station 4 located at 15930 S. Frederick Street, Plainfield, IL whenever the accumulation on the ground reaches two (2) inches or more, or as requested by authorized District personnel. All sidewalks, ramps, and front stairs at Headquarters will be included with snow removal. The response shall be within one hour of snow reaching a 2" depth or notification by telephone. There shall be no guarantee of minimum or maximum hours per call or per season. Salting shall be completed on an as-needed basis with magnesium chloride salt approved by the District. The successful bidder must provide the Plainfield Fire Protection District with current proof of insurance for public liability and vehicle insurance. Such proofs must be on file at the District office within five (5) days of bid acceptance. If you have any alternatives to the above specifications, please submit them in your bid package. The Plainfield Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive or not to waive any formalities therein, or to accept the proposal considered to be in the best interest of the Plainfield Fire Protection District.
