The City of Stockbridge is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified Contractors to provide the collection and disposal of residential garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk waste and commercial solid waste and recycling generated in the City, including all the supervision, materials, equipment, labor, and all other items necessary to complete said work and services in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals. PROJECT OVERVIEW This Request for Proposals (hereinafter, RFP) defines the service standards, specifications, and proposal requirements of the comprehensive residential and commercial solid waste collection services for the City of Stockbridge (hereinafter, City). The City seeks to enter into a contract with a company that has the resources and ability to provide the specified residential and commercial solid waste collection services. It is the intent of the City to accept and evaluate proposals for comprehensive residential and commercial solid waste collection including primary services such as garbage collection, recycling, yard waste collection, bulk waste collection, special clean-up events and public education. The City has issued this RFP for the sole purpose and intent of obtaining proposals from interested and qualified Contractors to provide solid waste collection and a recycling program for the Citys residential and multi-family, and commercial customers. Bid is administered by the City of Stockbridge, Procurement Division. Due to current health concerns, the City of Stockbridge Procurement Division, will be conducting Pre-bid Meetings and Public Bid Opening 100% online! Reference: Residential and Commercial Solid Waste Collection project - RFP# 2022-0016 The deadline for questions is Friday, October 21st, 2022, at 12:00 Noon EDT. The RFP Due Date is Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, at 3:00 pm EDT. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City or a cashiers check made payable to the City of Stockbridge, Georgia. The entire Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Stockbridge, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute all sets of the Contract Documents and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after receipt of the documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities.
