Columbia County (County) hereby requests sealed bids for a new bridge construction to go over the unnamed creek (12W x 54L), the Town of Springvale, Grant #S-5713. All general conditions and special conditions of the grant shall apply, a copy of the grant #S-5713 can be requested from Columbia County Land and Water Conservation Department. In accordance with Wisconsin Statutes Section 779.14(1m)(e), Bonds are required for the work. A 5% Bid Bond shall be delivered with the Bid on the date due. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be executed along with the awarded Contract to the lowest responsible Bidder; forms included within the Bid Specifications. Exceptions to this requirement may exist in certain situations where the County purchases materials directly or project costs are within specific thresholds. All bids shall be submitted on the County form provided herein and in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside; the name of the Bidder, the Bidder's address, and the project name (Hwy P Snowmobile Bridge Replacement). Please provide three (3) copies. Bid price shall remain in effect until June 30, 2024. Installation and completion of this bridge project must take place before grant period expires on June 30, 2024. All bids received after the due date listed above will be rejected. County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that all bidders will be afforded a full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award of any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement. Bidders shall not be barred from working on County projects and shall not appear on the Sam.gov disbarment list. The winning Bidder will be issued a purchase order from the County, within the timeframe proposed in accordance with the other terms and conditions of the Request for Bids. County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and is not bound to accept any bid if that bid is contrary to the best interest of Columbia County. County will award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
