The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to enter into a contract between Granger-Hunter Improvement District (OWNER) and a qualified Contractor to complete an asphalt installation project. The project begins at 4400 West Rawhide Drive in West Valley City, Utah. Blackhawk Drive, Cochise Drive, and Hawkeye Street are also included in this project. Roads and landscape material including asphalts and road and railroad construction materials and soil stabilizers and artificial turf and construction aggregates including rock, gravel, and sand. Paving service including highway paving and road paving and infrastructure building services and parking lot and surfacing services. Question Submission Close Date 9/29/2022 12:00 PM MDT Scope of work : The awarded contractor shall replace the asphalt that has been removed or damaged as result of Granger-Hunter Improvement District's 22E Water Line Replacement Project. See ATTACHMENT (A) for estimated asphalt quantities and location details. b. Bidders to note that final installed asphalt quantities may vary from bid quantities. Payments to be based on final installed quantities as indicated by submitted weight tickets. c. Completion date shall be on or before the end of November 2022. (Contractor should note that West Valley City Standard 6.5.2.1 requires air temperatures to be at least 50 degrees F and rising before paving will be allowed). d. Contractor shall be responsible for all site prep-work which includes but is not limited to removal of asphalt for T-patch, fill material and asphalt compaction, compaction testing, and traffic control.
