The Handling and Transportation of Hazardous Materials, Waste and Substances Must Be in Accordance With the Applicable Regulations of the Department of Transportation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Health Services, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, the California Administrative Code, the California Labor Code and Other Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies.
All Hazardous Material Containers Including Flammable, Combustible, Carcinogenic, Toxic, or Reproductive Toxins, or Other Dangerous, or Poisonous Chemicals Shall Be Clearly and Properly Labeled as to Content Along With Other Pertinent Safety Information. Sds Shall Be Included With Each Delivery of Such Materials to the City.
Contractor Shall Ensure That Employees Are Trained to Handle and/or Transport Hazardous Materials and to Use Proper Protective Equipment; Ensure That Employees Have Access to the Proper Protective Equipment Such as Rubber Gloves, Goggles or Face Shield, and Rubber Aprons When Handling and Transporting Acids or Caustics. The Cut-off Date and Time for Receiving Questions Regarding This Bid is 5:00 P.m. Pt, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. All Inquiries Must Be Made in Writing and May Be Submitted to the Email Address Shown Below. The City of Redding Wishes to Establish a Contract With a Responsible Vendor to Furnish and Deliver Various Chemical Products to Several Service Locations for the City of Redding for the Contract Term, as Outlined Below. The Materials to Be Furnished Under This Proposal Shall Be Delivered at Such Time and in Such Quantities as Called for by the City of Redding. The Quality of the Chemicals Shall Be Standard Commercial Grade. The Initial Term of This Contract Will Be for a One-year Period, December 1, 2022 Through November 30, 2023. If Mutually Agreeable, With Terms and Conditions Remaining the Same and Pricing Subject to Changes as Outlined Below, the Contract May Be Extended on an Annual Basis for Four (4) Additional One (1) Year Periods, Through November 30, 2027. The City Reserves the Right to Reject at Its Sole Discretion Bids Received After This Time and Date.
