The project consists of: Removal of existing siding, insulation, insulating sheathing and windows and replacement with new insulation, sheathing, vinyl siding and vinyl windows. Associated work on fascias, rakes, accessories, etc for a complete siding and window replacement. The work is estimated to cost $364,900. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Plan deposits may be electronically paid or by check. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), nonrefundable, payable to cover mail handling costs. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Pittsfield Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13.0% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (David.McClave@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date - No Waivers Will Be Granted After the General Bids Are Opened. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women.
