The County of Wabasha, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively assure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to participate and/or to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. A contract will be awarded, if any, within 33 days of the bid opening date at a Wabasha County Board meeting at the Wabasha County Board meeting room. Work shall begin under this Contract no earlier than May 30, 2023 Completion- August 12, 2023. Work in areas of bituminous paving on County Highway 81 shall not begin prior to the completion of planned bituminous paving on County Highway 81 (completion of bituminous paving is expected prior to July 1, 2023). All work, including sweeping and pavement markings, shall be completed by August 12, 2023. The Contractor shall work cooperatively with the County and County's other contractor(s) in scheduling work in the case of delay of paving prior to work under this Contract. The County shall not be responsible for any costs to the Contractor due to delay of construction of this project.
