Region: 1 Counties: Douglas Projects: C0831-126 SH 83 El Paso County to Bayou Gulch This Project Involves Signing Improvements on SH 83 in Douglas County It is estimated that the total cost of all items in the bid will be: (X) Between $0 and $1,000,000 ( ) Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 ( ) Between $5,000,000 and $20,000,000 ( ) Greater than $20,000,000 CODOT - 006 - Signing Improvements on SH 83 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. MBE (13.8%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (12%) Commencement date- (a) The earliest date shall be January 4, 2023 (b) The latest date shall be January 18, 2023 Static signing project within existing ROW. Most existing sign panels in the corridor will be replaced. Some existing sign posts will be replaced, but most will remain in place. New signs will be added for new functionality, such as advance intersection name signs and passing / no-passing pennant signs. A very limited number of signs will include a flashing beacon with solar power. Two Class III signs and posts will be replaced near the entrance to Castlewood Canyon State Park (MP 45.95). For most signs that'll get a new post, an 8" diameter x 30" long caisson will be drilled and poured. For the Type-Ill signs, there will be a total of four caissons on the whole project. Their size will be 24" diameter x 7' long
