Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time, and a tabulation will be made for consideration by the Owner in awarding the Contract. Bids received after the above-designated date and time will not be opened and will be rejected. This project will consist of, but is not necessarily limited to, all of the work as specified herein and as indicated and/or implied on the complete set of Bid Documents dated September 19, 2022. This project includes, but is not limited to, HVAC equipment and piping demolition, HVAC system repair and replacement work and all required associated subsequent work as noted on the drawings and in the technical specifications. The Scope of Work also includes some interior gypsum board replacement and painting, interior suspended ceiling tile and suspended ceiling grid repair and replacement, replacement of interior fiberglass batt insulation, professional stripping and waxing of all vinyl tile floors, installation of new concrete mechanical pads and fencing, as well as other repair items as noted in the Bid Documents. All work must be Substantially Complete within two hundred and sixty (260) consecutive days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. ANY PERSON REQUIRING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER OF THE TYPE(S) OF ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED NOT LESS THAN SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE THE BID OPENING. All Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a Bid Bond Form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the suretys agency or attorney-in-fact as per the project specifications.
