Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Eganville, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The Township is renovating the historic Lake Dore dance hall located at Melissa Bishop Park into a community lodge. The main dance hall space and lounge area will maintain their rustic character and 3 season access, and the existing kitchen lean-to will be removed and replaced with a winterized addition kitchen. Winterized bathrooms will be built inside the main building adjacent to the kitchen addition. An electric "wood" stove will be installed in the lounge. The exterior of the building will be refinished to reflect rustic Ottawa Valley charm. Aesthetic: Rustic log and timber-frame lodge, amber honey stain wood, red tin roof. Where possible, all materials should be sourced locally and regionally, and support local businesses and the local economy. All renovations will be wheelchair accessible. All bidders are encouraged to contact Ronnie O'Neill to inspect the sites and discuss scope prior to submitting bids (subject to Township Covid-19 protocol). Packages will be available for pick up in person (@ .20 cents per page copied), by email, or via the Township website at nalgonawil.com. Awardee and value not released for publication.
