Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brevard, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Transylvania County will be accepting sealed bids for the New EMS Base Facility, site located at 535 Morris Road (the corner of Morris Road and Ecusta Road), Brevard, North Carolina. The project consist of a new building constructed of wood framing/concrete masonry units, prefab wood roof trusses, brick veneer, fiber cement siding, asphalt shingles, concrete slab on grade, mezzanine constructed of wood floor joist and sheathing, aluminum storefront window/entrances, aluminum gutters, painted gypsum board wall/ceiling finishes, acoustical layin ceiling system, painted concrete masonry wall in Truck Bay areas, vct tile, carpet tiles, ceramic tile, hollow metal doors/frames, wood doors, sectional garage doors, Plumbing/Mechanical/Electrical work including emergency transfer switch (Generator by Owner), Civil work including grading, soil remediation, disposal of unsuitable soil, fill from Owners local source, aggregate piers, parking and drives consisting of concrete and asphalt paving and an NFPA 13 D fire suppression system in a portion of the building. The work will be let under one contract. General Prime bids only. Questions regarding the project documents should be submitted in writing by Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 4:00 PM EST to Jennifer Galloway at 101 South Broad Street, Brevard, NC 28712 or emailed to jennifer.galloway@transylvaniacounty.org Bid is to be submitted on Form of Proposal (Bid Form) provided in the Project Manual. Submit bids in sealed envelope that is clearly labeled with Project Name, Bidders Name and License Number on the outside of envelope. A Bid Security is required in the amount of 5% of the bid. Bid security must be in the form of an AIA A310 document, certified check or cashier check made payable to Transylvania County. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be executed by a surety company licensed to do business in North Carolina. Bond form shall be AIA Document A312. Refer to General and Supplementary Conditions indicated in the Project Manual. All bidders must have a NC General Contractors License in accordance with NC State Laws. The Owners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.
