This study will transform the Citys planning-level model into a dynamic tool for assessing capacity-based infrastructure needs in the wastewater collection system. Field sensors will be placed inside the wastewater pipes to measure wastewater flows. This information will be utilized to update the wastewater model and detect undesirable, excess rainwater that has infiltrated into the sewer pipes. All of this information will be utilized to identify improvements to mitigate existing issues and plan for future wastewater flows in Sugar Lands wastewater collection system. As part of the Citys 2021 Wastewater Master Plan Update, the City constructed a planning-level wastewater collection system hydraulic model. The wastewater model was constructed from the Citys latest GIS files and includes wastewater flows based on the Citys equivalent single-family connections (ESFC) database. In order to utilize the model for operational and capacity analysis, it needs to be calibrated to flow monitoring data. Questions regarding this RFQ must be received by the Purchasing Office on or before 3:00 (p.m.) on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
