The project is a 56,000 SF building with offices, classrooms, and a research Laboratory. Bid packages will be updated as available under separate project IDs. The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C), on behalf of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System (Owner) and Texas A&M University-San Antonio, is accepting proposals for the selection process to enter into a contract with a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firm to provide pre-construction services such as constructability guidance, cost estimates, and construction schedules; provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP); and perform complete construction services consistent with the CMAR construction delivery process as utilized by The Texas A&M University System for the Public Health and Education Building project located in San Antonio, Texas. Texas A&M University-San Antonio intends to construct a new academic building to support the College of Education and Human Development as well as the new Public Health program at the university. This project will provide a new 55,800 GSF facility for Public Health and Education. This project will provide a new 55,800 GSF facility for Public Health and Education. The facility will include the following areas: -Public Health Program 1,300 sq. ft. of administrative space 730 sq. ft. of dedicated instructional space -College of Education & Human Development 5,300 sq. ft. of new Kinesiology Labs 6,900 sq. ft. providing 50 faculty offices and administrative support for the Departments of Curriculum & Instruction as well as the Educator and Leadership Preparation 8,130 sq. ft. of "college-wide" instructional and administrative support 2,600 sq. ft. new Dean's Suite -Campus-Wide Instructional Areas 2,000 sq. ft. - large, 100-seat classroom/presentation space 2,400 sq. ft. - two, 50-seat, medium classrooms 3,370 sq. ft. - four, 30-seat, small classrooms -Building Support Building lobby/seating space Student study spaces Building/floor storage The Planning Amount for this project is $44,923,000. The Planning Amount includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $31,874,161.
