As of December 12, 2022, project was awarded to Fort Myer Construction Corporation, awarded amount is $10,683,612.35. The work under this contract consists of the Lane Place Pedestrian Bridge replacement over Kenilworth Avenue. Work Site Location Lane Place Pedestrian Bridge replacement over Kenilworth Avenue. . The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of Lane Place Pedestrian Bridge over Kenilworth Avenue Project, in accordance with the contract documents. The following list provides a general description of the work for this project. The contract drawings and individual Supplemental Provisions also referred to as Special Provisions provide a detailed description of the work. The specifications in this document and related contract drawings cover the work, which includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Construction of deep foundation for bridge and ramps substructures using 12-inchdiameter micro-piles and construction of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls and substructure units for new bridge and ramps. 2. Engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation of the trusses for bridge superstructure, including deck walking surfaces, stairs, the bridge drainage system, bearings and all other appurtenances. 3. Implementation of traffic control. Monitoring and maintaining traffic control for the entire duration of the project. 4. Mobilization and demobilization, provision and maintenance of work and storage areas and the Engineer's field facilities. 5. Implementation of erosion and sediment control measures and maintenance of sediment and erosion control measures for the entire duration of the project. 6. Demolition and complete removal of prior bridge foundation, including backfill and grading, and other items such as curb and gutter, sidewalks, etc. 7. Construction of new curb, gutter, barrier, sidewalk, and full depth pavement, and mill and overlay of existing pavement. 8. New signing and striping including engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation of one cantilever overhead sign structure. 9. Utility trenching and excavation for the installation of catch basins, utility access holes, and stormwater pipes. Utility trenching for the installation of electric ducts and electrical utility access holes for bridge lighting and streetlights. Trench backfill and surface restoration. 10. Installation of streetlight poles, bridge light poles, arms, luminaires, surface mounted lights, junction boxes, electrical manholes, pole foundations, PEPCO power feed, conduits and cable. 11. Construction of new stormwater management facilities. 12. Tree removal and landscaping. 13. Maintaining service of all existing utilities during construction.
